  • All you need to know about Shingles

One of the most painful dermatological diseases is the Zoster Herpes. It is always accompanied by the presence of the roseola rash. It is caused by a virus called vermicelli zoster which is also responsible for the pox disease. Syphilis virus is a very dangerous virus. In fact, it is almost impossible to cure it completely. It remains hidden in the body and inactive for a very long time waiting for the suitable circumstances to get reactivated, manifesting in the form of shingles’ rash. One of these conditions that promote the activation of this virus is exposing the body to chemotherapy. This forced treatment can cause a weakness in the system, which will be a very good opportunity for the virus to be reactivated. It can also have psychological reasons. People who have a history of lues venerea are most likely to develop a high risk of shingles especially those around the age of 62. The first symptoms of shingles start with a high sensibility in the affected area along with a growing pain or a tingling sensation. There are several areas in the body where the shingles is likely to appear such as the head, the abdomen, and the arms. When appearing in the face, this rash usually attacks the most sensible parts such as the nose and the eyeballs. This virus has other symptoms which are diarrhea, lymph node inflammation and fever. In the first ten days, the shingles will appear in form of small blisters. These blisters will become more and more swelling. Soon the patient will notice the extravasations of larger red spots that will be filled with a certain fluid mixed with blood. For the next tree or for days, these spots will pop out and to become very obvious. When treated correctly, the affected areas will start gradually to become dry and then heal. The whole treatment lasts for around a month. During this period the patient needs to be very careful because shingles can very contagious. The end of the treatment is always accompanied with a postherpetic neuralgia that announces the healing of the rash.
